The times they are a changing, on Lincoln Road. It was recently announced that the iconic Britto Central location will be completely torn down under a plan by Miami Beach Historic Preservation Board.
It was decided that the building was not a contributing factor in a historic district since it had undergone significant renovations over the years.
Originally this structure was part of the movement Streamline-Moderne by architect Russell Pancoast, built in 1935. Its' replacement will be a multi level commercial space with a replicated original design and will open onto Lincoln Lane.
